Prepping for the Girls Room

Just posting some ideas I have coming along for the girl's room so that once it's painted (but hopefully before), I have all my ducks in a row.

The paint colors are Calypso & Cote d'azur

The lighter is the base color and the darker will be the "sea" - just like how I had Storry's old nursery

Their bedding (the pink - in both the hibiscus and the dottie)
They have this bed set up for now - once they're both ready for their own rooms again they're getting new beds - my dream beds! (I already have it somewhat planned out - But that's for another post)
I'm probably going to hang white sheer curtain panels from the bottom of the top bunk and string a clear rope light along the top rails to add a little fun to this blah bed.
I got one of these big pink lanterns to replace the central lighting

I'll be setting aside a corner for a little reading nook, like in this picture (I got this tent in pink and they got a pink beanbag for seating)
Party City has a lot of little luau decorations that I plan on incorporating into the room for some fun. I plan on bordering the ceiling with this raffia garland
Hanging these poufs about the ceiling

Might hang a palm tree in an innocuous area
I'm in love with these shelves so I'll probably get a pair

I've still got some of the original artwork I made for Storry's nursery, but I plan on adding some more. I've got my sketch all ready for a big canvas - I'll be painting two cute little mermaids who are supposed to resemble Storry and Tatum. I got my inspiration from Harajuku lovers :)

And since I love to paint, I'm also thinking about doing my own rendering of The Great Wave - lol
